i know its easy to get that colour into blonde hair but how do i achieve it with really dark hair. iv tried permenant hair colouring in a box that claims it'll work on my hair but i end up disapointed.

what are soap caps, and pre-lighteners iv heard of??

i dont really wana bleach my hair first as i have dark eyebrows and i think it would look stupid if i bleached it to a rank orange blonde colour. and i dont really wana ruin my hair up!

so is there any way i can get that colour in one go?

and how much roughly would it cost in a hair salon in the uk??

thanks xCalling all hairdressers/stylists ?? (uk)?
First of all, you say your hair is thick? So have it thinned out first, so then the dye will be easier to apply if your doing it yourself.

Basically, you will have to bleach your hair, don't bleach it to blonde though, just leave it on long enough until its a medium light brown, i'd say about 15-30 minutes, depending on the dye you get, i'd get the range 'Smart Blonde' get a darkish blonde colour.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V鈥?/a> that's what they look like, you can get them from most pharmacy's, boots, superdrug, etc..

( if your hair turns out an orangey colour or goes blonde or whatever, do not worry, because you will just be dying over it anyway. so don't freak out if it goes wrong. )

Once you've got lightened your hair, wait at least 2 days before dying your hair the colour you want, and get a good brand of hair dye, loreal is very good, i always use loreal and have had no problems.

It would be quite expensive at a salon, it's much cheaper to do it at home. The price depends on which salon you go to. But i'm guessing salon prices would not be cheap.

Good luck!Calling all hairdressers/stylists ?? (uk)?
The colour that you are looking at in the pictures is easy to achieve.

To make you hair colour go to that kind of colour, technically yes you will be using a blonde colour but because your hair is so dark it won't turn out that way.

I would probably recommend that you went for highlights not an all over colour, so you can avoid obvious roots and it will make the choppy layered cut look a lot better.

The price depends on where you go. Personally go to someone that has been recommended regardless of the price
I have the exact same hair color! and my hair is thick too.

i think you should make it more suddle and get some red highlights that look natural(:

and idk about the uk but in the salon that i go to its like 80 dollars for eyebrow wax, hair cut, and highlights.

sorry, beauty costs money! (:
