ok so ive dun hairdressing training before. i left and now im going back at 23 years (6years later) after having an interview last week i was invited back to do a trial days work tommorro!!!
Has anyone got any advise for me? Shall i try keep myself moving working all the time im scared i might bug the employer by asking her too many questions or something!! Im going to be all the general duties plus shampooing and either a full head tint or a root retouch at somepoint plus a blowdry to show how i am with customers.Trial day at a hairdressers tomorro?
Keep on top of your duties like sweeping up. Go the extra mile with customer service and make sure you offer every client a magazine and drink.
During quiet patches of the day, ask if it is ok to observe. It shows initiative and you will get to watch cuts, colouring, extensions, perms, fringes being cut, etc, which is all useful to see first hand.
If you have a question don't be afraid to ask. It's better to ask and find out the right answer than guess. But at the same time you need to use your initiative and show that you're bright. xTrial day at a hairdressers tomorro?
keep busy - ask the hairdresser if they mind you asking questions - wear Comfy shoes. Good luck.
