I'm just curious. If your sister is a hair dresser, why haven't you asked her about the cost, how long they last, etc.?

So, to answer your questions. 1.) They vary in cost. It depends on the length, the type of hair, whether it is human hair or synthetic fiber, and the method of application. Plan to spend at LEAST $200 on a sewn in weave. 2.) They usually last from 4 to 6 weeks before needing to have them tightened if they are sewn in. Bonded weaves are really short term because they are latex glue based, and moisture and oil is not their best friend.

There is also a method where you install a whole wig system. This is called a Lace Wig or Lace Front wig. This is a wig that has been hand made, and has a scalp that looks like human skin all over! You can wear these units in a ponytail, you can french braid them, you can dye and perm them. These units run anywhere from $200 to thousands, and these are the ones that the celebrities like Beyonce, Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson wear. They are virtually undetectable, and can be worn while swimming, exercising, etc. I will leave the website of a Lace Wig company I use. Pretty reasonable site. I hope I answered some of your questions. Good luck!
