Calling all hairdressers, or people who know about colouring.....?

My hair is medium to light brown. A month ago I put a copper brown semi on my hair. It came out a really nice colour (just a hint of copper red). Now the colour has all but washed out but in the light I do still have a red cast. As it's summer I fancy golden highlights (I have my own streaking cap). Can anyone advise me of the colour I should use (include the number please because they are universal). I don't want any more red in my hair and I really can't afford the salon so any help would be great!

Thanks.Calling all hairdressers, or people who know about colouring.....?
the only way to lighten hair is through bleaching unfortunately! so my advice would be make a quick trip to your nearest beauty supply store. get a pack of basic white bleach and a low volume peroxide. (10 to be exact) if your looking for light suddle streaks nothing too crazy then this is the way to go. pull your hair through your streaking cap and apply. now with bleach its all a time game you have to watch it. id say for a light golden color your trying to achieve anywhere between 10 15 minutes should be enough. dont apply heat as this will amp up the bleach and take you past the point your wanting to go. hope this helps!Calling all hairdressers, or people who know about colouring.....?
You could try an ash blonde colour, my mum had the same problem a while back and dyes her hair straight to blonde and for some reason it turned green, she was then advised to use ash blonde colours and it worked!
colour numbers are not universal, you'll need to use bleach as tint doesn't lift tint, meaning, another colour won't make the already coloured hair any lighter you will need a bleach to do that
