Right...I'm getting my hair done this week and i want to go slightly blonder.Just now i just get bleach, but ages ago i used 2 get koleston 12/1 as my hi-lite.Now..the girl that used to do my hair ages ago said that when your using that,u mix the 12/1 with bleach and peroxide, and the girl that does it now says you mix the 12/1 with peroxide only.Which one is right? The girl that done my hair ages ago that mixed it with bleach and peroxide always got it light, and the girl that does it now tryed to put 12/1 in my hair and it went goldeny like a low lite,so obvs she just mixed it with peroxide.Help please!Uk hairdressers only please!Help!?
ok. basically she added the bleach to the colour and peroxide mix to give it a boost..... technically this is WRONG. because the bleach over rides the highlift tint 12/1. (so you might as well not even have it in there).
the new girl has it right, you mix the colour with the peroxide.
if they were to golden then just have the bleach highlights.also they should be with a 40vol peroxide mix for the highlift.
anything else just ask.
edit. yep ash blonde, how dark is your hair naturally? sounds like the hightlift tint on its own is not strong enough to lift your hair, which is why the bleach was added. either that or the product was not left on the correct amount of time. can be up to 50min with a high lift, 45mins for a normal tint...... or try finding a salon that uses clynol blonde meche that gives loads of lift and is less damaging than bleach its stronger than a highlift but not as strong as bleach.
if this was done in a salon go back and explain they should correct it free of charge.Uk hairdressers only please!Help!?
Just a tip: bleach IS hydrogen peroxide.. So it may just be a misunderstanding.
