Did she check your roots with a hair color swatch? Sounds like she attempted to use a brown color, but the base color is red. Is it reflecting red when the light hits your hair?
Since you don't like something with a red base, I suggest you go back and ask for a haircolor with a gold base, as this will enhance brown and not cast a red tone. I'm not sure how dark your hair is, but I'm thinking something around a 3G or 4G...that is very dark brown and dark brown, both with a gold base. Here's how you can tell when you are looking at haircolor. The higher the number, the lighter the shade. 10 would be blonde and 0-1 would be a deep black. There are 3 base colors that you will see in letter form. R, G, and N. Red, gold, and neutral/natural. The first two are obvious. Avoid N at your haircolor as it reflects green in the light.
Go back and tell her that you don't like the color. Don't settle if you're not happy. I'd want someone to tell me if they didn't like something...I don't know if no one tells me.I don't think my hairdresser matched my color right today. What should I do?
I personally would go back and tell her because you probally paid good money for that it should be done correctly and if not go buy a home dying hair kit that is the color you want. They actually are sometimes better than the salon
