A question for hairdressers. My hair is thicker on the sides than in the back, what cut should I get?

I'm going to the hair salon (for the first time ever) and I want my hair cut and styled but I don't know what is best or easiest.

I'm black and puerto rican so my hair is very thick, curl and coarse. It is a little past my shoulders when curly and further past my shoulders when straightened but still not longer than my chest/breast.

It also happens to grow thicker on the sides than in the back which my hair look even 'poofier' than it is - which suxs.

I get my hair relaxed and it comes out super straight but it's still thicker on the sides than the back.

I was just wondering if there was a general cut and style for people with hair thicker on the sides of the face than the back.

Have any of you heard of this problem?A question for hairdressers. My hair is thicker on the sides than in the back, what cut should I get?
My answer to you would be: Any Cut You Want.

*All you have to do to even out the density of your hair (the thickness) is have the person who cuts it, use Thinning Shears on the sides to remove some of the bulk so it appears to be equal with the density of the back.

But that is not a big problem, there's no reason you can't have any cut you desire. :-)
