Today I went to Phillip Pelusi and had mt hair colored. I wanted to go more brunette and not so blonde. My hairdresser put a brown in it and asked if I wanted some red in it..that sounded good to me, so I went with it. The problem is that the red she used was TOO red and now my hair looks Burgundy and brown. Needless to say I am not too happy. SHe put a toner on it to tone down some of the red and it did a little but not to my satisfaction. Philip Pelusi has a 14 day guarantee and will fix it. I actaully would like to go light brown with some blonde highlights...can this be done? How do I explain this to her that she will understand what I want?
I don't want to ruin my hair but don't like it..she said that the red will lighten after a few washings is that true.
Please help and tell me what I sound do.
ThanksAre there any hairdressers out there who can answer a question for me?
Sounds like mis-communication between client and stylist, happens all the time. No worry, most colorists would remove the color and start with a semi fresh palette. it should be somewhat easy to rectify. In the future a picture of the colors you like are the best form of communication. Sounds like you are in good hands though. The red will fade, but not that much, it is one of the hardest colors to remove. Take in a pic of the color you like. Are there any hairdressers out there who can answer a question for me?
It is ideal to this in your sink
Wash your hair with dish soap like dawn, rinse it out.
Then use a deep cleansing shampoo, use a huge handful and lather it up real well, scrub your head for a least ten minutes but stay away from the water, until you rinse it out.
