In other words if you accept that crap you'll be sure to get the most expensive one(apparently).
I called them back in a different name and was quite tuff with them and i got only 1 quote and it was 拢35 cheaper than the cheapest my wife had got ten mins earlier.
I called 8 different shops and found this crap from all of them.Some even put on fake french accents and gave obvious false names when giving high quotes.
I also found out that they mostly use inexerienced girls for the colouring and then a different person for the cut.
It's all a load of crap and this industry needs a serious clean up.

It's all down to what the market will stand and how the merchandise is packaged. ';Top'; hairdressers live rather well on the proceeds. There are plenty who can only just about scrape a living and plenty of salons that go to the wall. The sad thing is that making it and failing is all down to marketing rather than technical ability. But the same is true of most industries. People are prepared to pay 10 times as much for a Porsche as for a Peugeot, but they'll both drive you to the hairdressers.
And you know the accent was fake and the names were false...how? Why would they even do that..that makes no sense...and the different rate..It's called booth rental. When a hairstylist rent a booth, They make there own prices...So of course, It's going to be different prices.
That is really sexist.Your just in a bad temper because you didn't get the price you wanted. Hairdressers do cost a lot! Deal with it!

some know they can get away with it, women care more about their appearance than men do generally and who wouldn't like to have their hair done by a well known stylist? something to boast about...
It's only worth how much people will pay... And people pay top dollar for haircuts. I on the other hand have clippers! Free buzzcut every thursday baby!

Before you throw us all into the lot you need some education.
In a lot of salons some of the hairdressers are ';booth renters'; meaning they rent their space in the salon but run their business independently from the salon's. It's like they have their own private salon within a salon- which is why prices can vary.
As far as the inexperienced girls go- how are they supposed to learn if they don't jump in with both feet? Beauty school teaches us the basics but there's nothing like working in a real salon. I've never been in a salon that doesn't help the new girls get on their feet. Almost all mistakes involving hair color can be fixed easily.
If you enter a salon with your attitude you're not going to be happy no matter what the result is. Give them a break, let them do their job, and don't assume they're all money-grubbing slackers
I go to my mum's bestfriend, she worked in hairdressers for a long time and decided to go self employed, and she can make her rates SO much cheaper as she doesn't have staff, a morgage on the shop or bills etc to pay.
So she drives out, or has people their. For my hair to be trimmed it is 拢10 when anywhere else it is ATLEAST 拢25 as it is long.
Highlights in my hair are 拢50. Which is really good, as normally they would be 拢110+
The reason they are also somewhat expencive is because it takes time, and they are doing it propperly, if you worked for an hour, and you charged 拢2, I'm sure you would love that as your pay, per head. I didn't think so.
Accept it, Find somewhere/someone cheap and good.
Don't complain. You have to know what you are talking about and what you want or you will get screwed over.
