To any hairdressers?

I have naturally curly hair that I blow dry and staighten every day. My problem is, is that it is really starting to look dry and I feel it needs a break from all this abuse. The worse problem: If I let it dry naturally it is really a curly and wavy out of control mess, especially in the front. I have tried chemical straighteners in the past and my hair still needed to be smoothed with a straightener. I have heard that if I get a body wave perm using bigger rods, my hair will then have a controlled curl that I can just wash and put in a little gel and go and the curls will look nicer. My question, is this true? If I get a perm in naturally curly hair, will it really smooth my curls to a much more controlled curl to where I can just wash it and dry it naturally and give it a rest from the blow dryer and straightener abuse? To any hairdressers?
i am glad you asked

fist of all

you have to make sure that the hair that you have had chemically straightened is all cut off because a perm will melt chemically straightened hair..

the two products are NOT compatible

you can try to perm it using the biggest rod there is

then.. if you don't like the way it looks... get it straightened with perm solution and then condition the heck out of it

yes your hair will be thrashed.. but... you can keep a really good conditioner on it and use a spray silicone when styling your hair

good luck
