Right so i've been dying my hair for about 3 years all sorts of colours, recently i wanted to go a really light shade of brown but the problem was my hair was dyed black and as you know black is a really hard colour to get out so i tried lightening hair stripper and it didnt work. i then tried bleach and it made it bright ginger, and when i put the dye on it didnt come out?
so now im sitting here with medium brown dye on my hair and my stepmum who used to be a hairdresser said that theres a chance in a couple of months my hair might go light brown if we try again because this time it wont be black if that makes sense?
but i want this hair sosososososos much has anyone got any possible ways i can go from medium to light brown hair? it sounds so simple!Any professional hairdressers or experienced people to answer my question?
I know this sounds crazy.
Lighten your hair again.
Go to a professional salon (preferably Paul Mitchell)
tell them and show them the exact shade that you want.
If they don't get it right, they should redo it free of charge, since you gave them specific instructions.
Just to warn you, though. Dying hair is really damaging. Before you continue in the process, you should ask yourself ';Is it worth it?';
chances are, your hair color is fine as is.
Ask any hair expert. You should dye your hair no more than 2-3 times annually.Any professional hairdressers or experienced people to answer my question?
Okay, you're going to want to lighten it, I recommend his stuff (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41鈥?/a> because it does the least damage to your hair out of every bleaching product I've tried. It will gradually lighten your hair from the color it is now through shades of brown, reds, and finally to blonde, but you can watch it lighten and rinse it out when it gets as light as you need it to be, you don't have to go all the way to blonde. I would stop when its about 3 shades lighter than the brown you want it, but heres the thing: this stuff strips color, so make sure when you are putting the light brown dye in it, you're using a dye that has red in it (reddish brown, auburn, etc), otherwise it might turn grey, that happened to me a few months ago :[ good luck! :]
I'm really confused...exactly what are you asking? You bleached out black and it turned ginger...a ginger medium brown? But...you are sitting there with medium brown hair dye on your hair? So you want light brown but you are coloring it medium brown? You put dye on it and it didn't come out...it could be because you opened up your cuticle so much with the bleach that the color will not penetrate and deposit any color. If you could post a picture of what your hair actually looks like I might be able to help you more.
EDIT: I would give it a week or so, to see how much fading it will do because I am sure it will lighten at least a level. Hair color doesn't usually stick as well when you have bleached before you used it.
