i have alot of bleach in my hair and i want to dye my hair brown.
what will happen to my hair if i dye it a light brown ?
what kind of hair dye will i have to get from the hair supplying shop(sally's) ?
what damage will it do to my hair to dye it brown even though to say its bleached and its in good condition (no frizzing, no split ends) ?
My mom is going to do it, she is a hairdresser but stopped hairdressing and hasn't had a refresher course, but she still cuts hair, and dyes peoples hair blonde now and again. So tips to dye from bleach blonde to brown would be help?
Thanks xAll hairdressers, andpeople who know about dying hair answer this !!!?
when hair has been bleached blonde then the hairs natural underlying pigment has been stripped away (hence why you see red, orange and then yellow whilst lightening) therefore when going back to a darker colour that red pigment must firstly be replaced otherwise you will end up with khaki brown hair, trust me it is not nice to see green tones in brown hair. therefore the best thing to do is to either use a red based brown dye (mahogany for example) or use a red filler first and then a neutral brown dye.All hairdressers, andpeople who know about dying hair answer this !!!?
Going from bleach blonde to brown can be tricky. If your mom is using professional color, there are technical support phone numbers and web sites she can access. Before going to brown I would check out the color swatches and look at the level 7 dark golden blondes. They are pretty close to a light brown.
you need to re-pigment your hair first using a red colour before you apply any browns, tints are better for your hair than bleach so it should actually improve the condition and look of your hair. Sally Assistants are usually pretty good for recommending colours so ask at your local store for assistance.
