Why do hairdressers always screw my hair up?

i have a fairly normal haircut, i just get a 2 1/2 on the sides and back and i wear it kind of messy on the top spiked up in the front. i usually have the same guy cut my hair but everytime he's not there one of girls cuts my hair and it looks awfull. they can never taper the back of my hair properly, and they usually cut it shorter then i expected. the overall look of it is never right. why cant they cut it the same way the guy does?Why do hairdressers always screw my hair up?

legally, if its not what you asked for you dont have to pay for it





and you shouldnt tip them if its not what you asked for..


why dont you just specify you want the guy?

if your hair is curly or slightly wavey, hair dressers usually wash the hair and pull it straight down your back.


and cut off WAY too much for your hair.. when it's dry it looks way shorter.


all i can suggest is telling them this before they touch your hair, and telling them EXACTLY what you want.


if that fails.. then maybe you should demand having the guy do it when you go there, or learn to do it yourself.
because they probably do not cut men's hair too often.. make an appointment next time, to make sure you get your guy! or... ask what days he works,and make sure to get your air done then!

some hair stylist cut hair the way they think it would look best. You know how SOME women are. But hey you never know someone may think your sexy either way!
Its because they dont have your brain! They cant really picture your idea. They thought that was what you wanted. I hate when it happens to me, but it couldn't be helped because only if the guy had the exactly image what you wanted, then he ll be able to do it. Nobody is perfect!
You must speak up. Don't let anyone do it but the guy you like. Make appointments with him, don't just walk in hoping to get him. Let him know what you like and don't like about the end results. You MUST speak up, or they don't know.........
If your stylist tells you to come in to get your hair cut at a certain time, he should be there to cut it when you get there. That's so ghetto for him not to be there when you arrive,especially if this happens often. I would turn around and walk right back out if the next time you go and he isn't there; maybe it's time to find another stylist, and really so if the back-up chicks keep messing up your 'do'. Don't tip if your haircut or style isn't the way you wanted it. Just pay for the service and never return. Yeah, you just need to find someone else to cut and style your hair.
Because you are letting them use clippers for a start, you will get a better cut with someone who uses tapering scissors to do just that, they also will manipulate the shape a lot better, whereas there is a shape that comes with a clipper cut, thats because of the way you have to use them. Usually mean that they 'taper' it by moving down the numbers - ends up shorter.





Pay the money and have a 'properly trained barber' someone who uses barbering cutting tecniques on gents hair, not a quick, cheap clipper cut.





Be more specific, even have pictures taken of your hair (front/back/side) after the usual guy has cut it to see if they can replicate it better having looked at the photos.
