i agreewith growing it long, itll make some of it drop out from the weight of your hair, you could but a hair iron and straighten your hair every 2 days9 year old with naturally ';crimped'; hair texture help!?any hairdressers out there?
What exactly is the question?
Growing it longer might work it out a bit, but i think it's something she's going to be stuck with.
If you're desperate to style it, then blow dry it whilst combing the kinks out then straighten.. Afterwards you can style is however you like. It will however, take quite awhile to achieve this..
My daughters hair is the same. She is seven it has taken 7 years to grow to her mid back...it does not get less crimpy it only gets more tangled. I cannot flat iron or blow dry the crimps out. They are always there. From a distance she looks like she has straight hair but up close...real close..each strand looks as though they have been individually crimped. Even when wet. I think she is stuck with this.. if anyone has any ideas please help.
