I've ruined my hair!Need advice!Hairdressers/experience鈥?people please!?

Well I Bleached my dark brown hair once, it turned orange! Bleached it twice, it turned pale orange! then put on a med ash blonde. the colour is nice now, like a dark golden blonde, but the condition is TERRIBLE!!

It is totally fried! and when it is wet you can stretch it loads before it snaps off! Basically it feels like chewing gum =*(

Anyway I've read up about it and know that it need lots of protein

Are there any protein treatments in particular that really work?? or anything else I can do to try and save it??

I'm going to book in for a hair cut, am going to have my shoulder length hair cut to chin length, but dont want to go any shorter!! even though its all pretty much buggered right now =[

so please any advice!!!! Many thanks xI've ruined my hair!Need advice!Hairdressers/experience鈥?people please!?
dont waste your money anymore, your roots willl just keep growing in and looking awful

i did what you did and it turns out that guys and everyone else likes the condition of the hair better than the color.

just go back to your natural color i did and its the best thing that ive ever done for my hair.

you will have silky beautiful hair. not a fried split end mess

and one day when your hair is healthy again, and if you still want to go blonde, dont do the box dye, invest in going to the hairdressers, you will get your perfect color and it'll look great :)I've ruined my hair!Need advice!Hairdressers/experience鈥?people please!?
Ok well im gonna tell your that you need to invest in something salon quality so you can save your hair before it all breaks off. I would suggest a couple lines:

~Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo and Reconstructor

~Joico K Pak Reconstructing Shampoo and Conditioner

Those 2 professional lines will save your hair! Make an investment and get some, before you have no hair left! :)

  • Which Haircut Should I go for? (picture) HAIRDRESSERS OPINIONS NEEDED ALSO!?

See I want to go for something that will make me look a little older see now I am 13 years old with a heart-shaped face light brown hair that is down to my middle back. I have two choices here are the links

One of my choices are- http://s421.photobucket.com/albums/pp296/MercedesW1/?action=view%26amp;current=emo-hair-1.jpg

    My other choice is-

    http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff125/sashastarr110/1111111111111111.jpg

I think that one is a little more me but i dont know just let me know!

here is a link to one of my (stupid) youtube vids from the beginning of this year soo you can see what i kind of look like (I look a little diff since i've grown up)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bsvq_jpenXQWhich Haircut Should I go for? (picture) HAIRDRESSERS OPINIONS NEEDED ALSO!?
The first seems to be pretty stylish right now. About 6 in ten teens have that cut. The other is cute too. It would look nice with your face. So it depends on what type of person you are. Do you want something stylish that everyone else has or something stylish yet different. Both are good choices for your age though.Which Haircut Should I go for? (picture) HAIRDRESSERS OPINIONS NEEDED ALSO!?
Well if you wanna look unique not everyone has the 2nd hairstyle but the 1st one is quite popular, so maybe you should go with that. Whichever one fits your face better is the best choice. (:

    Goodluck
Honestly, i think you should go for the first one!

    Hope i helped,

Advice on what to ask for at hairdressers?

I can't be bothered to take in a picture because I find just shoving a photograph in their face and telling them to get on with it doesn't really work, they can't really tell much from a picture other than the basic style you want. My hair is already cut into the basic style I want - side fringe just below chin level, layered on top so I can mess it up, etc, kinda like scene/emo hair.

Basically, my hairs got very long now, so I want it cut back a bit but I'm not really sure how to put it. I want the back of my hair cut back quite a lot because it's now grown so much it looks kinda like a mullet. I want it taken back up so I can spike it a bit at the back, while still keeping the length on the sides and the fringe, and layered on the top so I can mess it up.

    My ideas are kinda jumbled.

Thanks for any advice.Advice on what to ask for at hairdressers?
spaeking as a qualified hairdresser basically what you want is your trimmed, a shorter style of what you have now? Am i right? Just show them the lenght you want your hair to be and then tell them you want very choppy texturised layers on the top so you can wear it messy.Advice on what to ask for at hairdressers?
i don't really have time to explain good ideas... but angeled bangs are really in style right now.

BLEACH GONE WRONG -HAIRDRESSERS PLEASE help me & answer this!!?

So i had 2 x full head of foils on dark brown hair and it really lightened my hair up alot but it was still sort of orangey/yellow so i then decided to take matters into my own hands and bought smart blonde toner .. in the ash blonde colour and it has turned my hair white at the roots, orange in the middle and yellow aswell! i feel like crying i dont know what to do , should i put dark brown over the orange and yellow bits ? i am NOT going back to the salon so i want to fix it at home please help me someone BLEACH GONE WRONG -HAIRDRESSERS PLEASE help me %26amp; answer this!!?
i recommend going back to your salon hon (:

sorry, but all this die can't be good for you roots and tips. take care of your dead ends, and get a trim while you're there. now, i don't know your salon so i don't know if you could get a refund or not. but since it was an unsatisfactory haircut, im guessing you'll get your money back, but because you brought the worst on yourself, they wont be doing the new job for free.

die it solidly what the best of the color on your hair is. then work from there. best of luck!BLEACH GONE WRONG -HAIRDRESSERS PLEASE help me %26amp; answer this!!?
um tbh theres nothing you can do at home without a risk of making it 10 times worse.

Go to the salon, maybe a different one and they'll sort it out for you.

    :]

    x
You cant go light over dark

So you have to do a bit lighter than the dark and then lighter than the light and so on and when it' s light enough you do the light color that you wish

with this idea it will work i have tried it

don't fix this matter by yourself, try to go to a different salon have them fix it. I think the reason y your hair is lighter at the roots is bc of the new hair grow out, and the part where it turned orange bc of the brown color in your hair. If you go the Professional, they will able to fix your problem, don't do it yourself.
you cant dye light over dark

    you get drastic results

go darker to cover it all up

good luck and yes it will work

Could I get my hair like this? (hairdressers please)?

for about four years now I've coloured my natural dark blonde hair dark brown (just packet kits, varying from wash out to 'permanent') and now I'm getting tired of the look! My ends are very dark, but as it goes up to the roots it gets quite a lot lighter! I find there is quite a bit of red in my hair also, not sure why. I would like to get my hair to be this colour

    http://www.solarnavigator.net/films_movi鈥?/a>

With money not being an object, is this possible? My hair is relatively fine, there is quite a lot of it, and it's in normal/dry condition.

Thank you!Could I get my hair like this? (hairdressers please)?
yes, you can, but yo have to step by step, if your hair is dark colour, you should chose a light blond for it. the first time it will be not too shine as you want, but later, it comes up.

remember you take some treatment for your hair. use the conditioner each time.Could I get my hair like this? (hairdressers please)?
Whenver you get out of bed in the morning don't touch it, just get dressed and go.
pay up and i'll give you the answer.
    okay here i go.

i am apprenticing as a hair dresser so i hope i am of help.

first of all try a good quality blonde dye.

    aim for a permanent.

use garnier fructius colour last products: shampoo conditioner and there is a leave in moisturiser i think that would be good to use aswell.

    to get the waves...

if your hair is already straight, get a curling tong, don't make it too hot, and give yourself some waves.

but if your hair has a life of its own ten straighten it first.

get some quality golden bobby pins and pull back a small amount of hair from the front and bobby pin down.

    there you go.

hope this is what you want. :)

Where can I find a good hairdressers, not too far from central London, who isn't too expensive?

My sister and I are going out in London next weekend. We will get there via public transport, and a friend is fetching us later. But we are making a day of it, and by the time evening swings around, will no doubt look like we've been dragged through a hedge backwards with the wonderful English weather wreaking havoc on our hair.

Does anyone know of anywhere, that's not too expensive, to have our hair cut and styled in London? Or even somewhere we could just plug our own straighteners in and try to fix our hair?

Thanks!Where can I find a good hairdressers, not too far from central London, who isn't too expensive?
I like Uffizi in Battersea, Parkgate Road - they're very good and reasonable for London, and if you're planning on hitting the Kings Road, it's just a hop across the river.

http://www.uffizi.co.uk/Where can I find a good hairdressers, not too far from central London, who isn't too expensive?
Just a small note, the weather in London is excellent, and I'm sure no one will notice whether or not your hair is unkempt or tidy.

Ok, so I was at the hairdressers the other day....?

I was at the hairdressers, and my hairdresser was sort of alternating between me and this other woman who was about 55. She was one of those old ugly women who pays way to much attention to her nails, eyebrows etc. You know the kind? lol. anyways, I walk in and sit down and the woman was like ';Wow shes a beauty.'; she said to my hairdresser, talking about me. I just smiled and said thanks. (I'm 13 btw, but I look 16) Then my hairdresser asked me what school I go to. I told her, and then the woman was like ';Oh, wow she goes to school?!'; acting faux-shocked. Then they laughed, and I was like what....? What does that mean?Ok, so I was at the hairdressers the other day....?
Well, first she might have thoguht that your so beautiful you dont need skool. Or maybe they thot u were to old sry i have alittle idea wat they were talking about VOTE ME BEST ANSWEROk, so I was at the hairdressers the other day....?
she means you look old for your age, like you would be out of school.

i'm 14 and have gotten the ';compliment'; before.

just smile and nod politely :]
Theyy were talkingg about how youur pretty AND go to school. Theree basicallyy sayingg youu havee it all :L

she means u look so much older like probally 23 or somewhere in your early 20's but she does not mean it in a bad way because most people in their early 20's are very fresh beautiful

    nothing realy

just means you look older than what you are

it is like when you are with your friends and yall laugh for no reason
That they're surprised you go to school..?

    I don't know..

You seem like the type of person who analyzes every little thing.

    x.x
it probably wasn't anything that should bother you , probably just some old lady inside jokes
It means she thinks your school is a dump.
they were being silly- don't overanalyze it
Yes im sure they thought that!
what do you care, if your hair turned out fine pay your bill and leave.
They were just flirting with u , maybe.

Hair - two tone - why won't hairdressers do it properly?

I wanted my hair dying blonde on the top and black underneath. My salon only put highlights in so the contrast wasn't that great ( they used a brown instead of black too ). So, in an attempt to liven things up the next time I went, I had it dyed red underneath instead. The red washed out within a week so I'm now left with a reddy brown underneath.

What have I got to ask for, to get a really vibrant hair do ????Hair - two tone - why won't hairdressers do it properly?
well make sure you're above a certain price threshold- I've learned that a haircut less than $30 will look like squirrels nibbled your hair. paying less than $100 for color and highlights with a cut isn't a good deal. the more you pay the better the service you're getting and products they're using on you. now red color is VERY hard to keep, it's the quickest fading color. so you have to get a good $$ shampoo like pureology to keep the color. and only buy it at a salon, if you buy salon brands at a drugstore, they're counterfeit.Hair - two tone - why won't hairdressers do it properly?
Money doesn't matter..they set their own price. Just tell them that you aren't happy with it and have them redo it until you are. I doubt you'll have a problem if you just say that it isn't really what you asked for.
Just because they r hairdressers, dusnt mean they know what EVERYONE likes , belive me hun i have had many bad experiences with hairdressers! I stick to cutting and colouring my own hair now! I suggest if your looking for something really nice, then its worth spending good money on it. search the internet for top-notch hairdressers
Major suggestion: STOP GOING TO THAT HAIR SALON

Their hair dye shouldn't wash completely out, granted hair dye does fade eventually. Try a different place and be very specific with what you want. If you want a deep black, say that you want jet black! If they don't do it right, don't leave until they do. All it takes is a little backbone, they're obligated to please the costumer! Just don't be mean, you don't want to go home and find out a chunk of your hair was cut off. ;D
the thing wit the blonde is that if its bleach then it cant go straight on the scalp as it will burn it so thats y the highlites are there when u next go into the salon then say to them that you want the whole top blonde and ask them not to weave the sections and they should then do it all as for the black ask for the colour chart and then say to them this is the colour i want ok i realli want this one if they still dont do it rite then they are just ignorant and u should find another salon lol it may just be that they dont understand wat u want done hope this helps xx
I know what you're going through! every single time I get my hair done I ask them to take the horrible brassy tones out of my hair and yet I walk out of there with them still on show! Maybe find a picture and take it in, it's definitely worth a try as nothing else seems to work! x
The red color molecule is bigger than normal color molecules, so if you aren't washing your hair in cool water like you should be it is going to come right out. Did you ask for highlights? Just tell them what you want and don't let them do anything to you that you don't want. If you asked for black and they didn't give it to you they need to do it again for free, they messed up, maybe you should go to a different salon.
find a picture of something that you want it like and next time you go take it and explain to them its like that how you want it!
Is that the only salon you've ever been to? If so, I'd try somewhere else next time. If you like the place you're going, explain to them what's happening. If they don't color your hair right, bring a picture of exactly what you want. That way, the colors will be more exact, and it is easier for them. You deserve to get just what you want from your money and on your hair!
Tell them exactly what you want! Mine is rather like that, but a dark chocolate on the bottom, and streaked blonde on top.
I dont care how trendy a place is, if I came out unhappy once thats enough for me to not go back!

Ive been to loads over the years and my regular one i use now turns out to be the old lady hairdresser down the street that i would go to with my mum as a kid!! eeeeek!! I hear you say !

but you know what, out of all the places Ive ever been over the years and 拢拢 Ive forked out ( and tears Ive shed! ) they are the only ones who do exactly like I ask them, without trying to add lib there own ideas and there cheaper too! they also consult me as they are doing my hair, not just before they start. I have quite a precision cut hair style at the min and so many people ask where I get it done and cant believe I say 'wendys' next to the corner shop, surrounded by blue rinses lol !

try a new salon, and find a picture or 2 of what you want!
I think you were pretty clear on what you want. And red does tend to wash out quickly on some people. I think you should find you another hairdresser. You should not have paid for the first time you got it done since it wasn't done right.
right, i had exactly what u want, very blonde hair on top and a nice dark plum red underneath.

blonde bit - if they gave you high lights and you want more of a blonde effect, ask em to do weaved high lights but lots of them.

bleached can be applied to the scalp but onli when using a low level of peroxide (20% / 6 vol) and it shud onli be used on hair tht is naturally quite light - dark blonde or mousy coloured and should onli be applied by a hairdresser.

another option is to have 1/2 head tint done using a high lift tint.

red bit - red is one them colours, looks great, but fades like a b*tch and also the problem with red is, if you decide you wanna get all your hair blonde, the hairs gotta b coloured corrected - the red hair will be bleached and ash toner added several times.

you can help prevent colour from fading by using a colour protect shampoo... TIGI dumb blonde shampoo/conditioner, TIGI fashionista shampoo/conditioner, TIGI honey and oatmeal shampoo/conditioner

or paul mitchell shampoo 1, paul mitchell colour protect shampoo, paul mitchell instant moisture daily shampoo

avoid using shampoos like pantene or head and shoulders. pantene uses waxes/plastic to make hair appear shiny, but ova time this makes hair appear greasy, dull and lifeless and can cause product build up and head and shoulders will just strip the colour.

When should I go to the hairdressers this year or next year?

I want my hair done in a bob like this:

    http://www.hairstyles-haircuts.net/wp-co鈥?/a>

but my hair is super short it stops in the middle of my neck length wise

My hair is sort of frizzy as well so will i have to get it permed?

I want my hair like this, because i think it would suit me.

And how do i bring it up with my mum cause she still thinks I'm her little girl cause I'm the youngest girl and she doesn't want me to grow up. My sister said she would take me to get my hair done and my eyebrows but my mum said i could get my hair done but not my eyebrows, I'm not sure if she was joking though.

Anyway what is this bob called? Inverted? layered? etc

What tie would be best to get this done? should i do it in the christmas holidays so it can look new for a new year?

And also i have dark brown / hazel (don't ask they change shade depending on the season) eyes and i would like to know which eyeshadow would go best with my eye colour.

I think my head shape is square...do you think it would look good? When should I go to the hairdressers this year or next year?
most people have no idea what their hair-style is called. Take a few pics with you of different angles of people (in your case, Paris Hilton) with that cut you want. As for your eyebrows, idk much about you or how old you are. If it is that super important to you just ask ur mom about it again. If she seriously says no, then just go with your sister. As for eyeshadow, my eyes are a similar color to what you described. I was advised to use purple eyeshadow (Almay actually makes a set for brown eyes) and everyone compliments me on it whenever I wear makeup.

As for this looking good on you, I don't know what you look like, but from your description of yourself I think the style will look nice :)

best of luck! When should I go to the hairdressers this year or next year?
if your hair is big and frizzy then you should keep the crown and make it paris hilton's shape and then it will look like your face is that shape too.

then you just need to straighten it with chemicals . it won't be quite as good as getting it permed, but it will still work. then they should style the outer hair into the hairstyle that you want. it's called an angled bob. you should show the hairdressers the picture as well though just in case they don't know what an angled bob is. they probably will though but just in case...so anyway, get your hair done this year and then ask your mum if she was being serious or not about the eyebrows. that might help :-)

  • Black hair to blonde-will my hairdressers technique work?

i am naturally blonde but a year ago i went brown and then a couple of months ago i went black and i don't like it anymore at all, i look like a witch.i haven't dyed my hair in around a month and a half and now have my medium blonde roots back.so i went to my hair dressers and had a consultation to go back to a natural looking medium blonde.she cut out a section of my hair as a tester and dyed it blonde, it came out around the right lightness but was quiet dry. she said to do my whole head she will do a full head of fine close highlights for minimal damage but a natural and blonde look, then to get rid of any orange tones she will put in a toner and then cut and style it. she said that i should put moisture treatments in my hair regularly after-wards and come back a couple of times for so that the colour sticks. the price for the highlights, toner cut and blow dry came out at only 拢90 but do you think it will work and look good?after i have my natural colour i won't dye it again.Black hair to blonde-will my hairdressers technique work?
i think you need to gradually lighten it. u have to do it in steps is what ive always heard.Black hair to blonde-will my hairdressers technique work?
LOL. Yes it should be worth it if you REALLY don't like it but hair dressers know what there doing :)

Can I go back to the hairdressers? as on closer inspection the colour is ginger on the roots!?

I had my hair done today, dyed light brown. I ask if they thought it would work as blonde keeps coming through and they said yes and went ahead. I was having it done my a student, who I was lend to believe had cut and dyed peoples hair before! It looked ok in the shop(I thought it would just be the lights on my roots) After get home and fiddling around with it noticed it was bright ginger on the roots. Can I go back and ask for it to be corrected without paying again? (I paid 拢20 as it was a student she snipped a little hair off)Can I go back to the hairdressers? as on closer inspection the colour is ginger on the roots!?
of course you can go back if you're not happyCan I go back to the hairdressers? as on closer inspection the colour is ginger on the roots!?
Go back and talk to them. it depends what kind of a salon it is. Some would just say sorry and re-do it for you and others would make you pay. you'll have to ask them.
ya. i would try and haggle with them because you were not satisfied by your cut, they could most likely give you a lower price.
Absolutely. They want to keep their reputation. If you are unhappy and tell your friends then they won't go there and they will tell people too. If you are happy and tell people where you got it done then they will get more customers.

If you had it done at a school by a student and paid a student rate then you might have to pay more to have a more professional person fix it but I kind of doubt it. They assume the student has learned enough to do your hair or they would not have assigned them to do yours.

I went to school for hair and as a student did many people who either didn't pay or paid very little. We were only assigned those customers that the teachers knew we could do successfully.

Money doesn't matter..they set their own price. Just tell them that you aren't happy with it and have them redo it until you are. I doubt you'll have a problem if you just say that it isn't really what you asked for.Hair - two tone - why won't hairdressers do it properly?
find a picture of something that you want it like and next time you go take it and explain to them its like that how you want it!
I know what you're going through! every single time I get my hair done I ask them to take the horrible brassy tones out of my hair and yet I walk out of there with them still on show! Maybe find a picture and take it in, it's definitely worth a try as nothing else seems to work! x

Just don't be mean, you don't want to go home and find out a chunk of your hair was cut off. ;D
Just because they r hairdressers, dusnt mean they know what EVERYONE likes , belive me hun i have had many bad experiences with hairdressers! I stick to cutting and colouring my own hair now! I suggest if your looking for something really nice, then its worth spending good money on it. search the internet for top-notch hairdressers
the thing wit the blonde is that if its bleach then it cant go straight on the scalp as it will burn it so thats y the highlites are there when u next go into the salon then say to them that you want the whole top blonde and ask them not to weave the sections and they should then do it all as for the black ask for the colour chart and then say to them this is the colour i want ok i realli want this one if they still dont do it rite then they are just ignorant and u should find another salon lol it may just be that they dont understand wat u want done hope this helps xx
Tell them exactly what you want! Mine is rather like that, but a dark chocolate on the bottom, and streaked blonde on top.
right, i had exactly what u want, very blonde hair on top and a nice dark plum red underneath.

blonde bit - if they gave you high lights and you want more of a blonde effect, ask em to do weaved high lights but lots of them.

bleached can be applied to the scalp but onli when using a low level of peroxide (20% / 6 vol) and it shud onli be used on hair tht is naturally quite light - dark blonde or mousy coloured and should onli be applied by a hairdresser.

another option is to have 1/2 head tint done using a high lift tint.

red bit - red is one them colours, looks great, but fades like a b*tch and also the problem with red is, if you decide you wanna get all your hair blonde, the hairs gotta b coloured corrected - the red hair will be bleached and ash toner added several times.

you can help prevent colour from fading by using a colour protect shampoo... TIGI dumb blonde shampoo/conditioner, TIGI fashionista shampoo/conditioner, TIGI honey and oatmeal shampoo/conditioner

or paul mitchell shampoo 1, paul mitchell colour protect shampoo, paul mitchell instant moisture daily shampoo

avoid using shampoos like pantene or head and shoulders. pantene uses waxes/plastic to make hair appear shiny, but ova time this makes hair appear greasy, dull and lifeless and can cause product build up and head and shoulders will just strip the colour.

    email if u got ne q's - devilrachel4eva@yahoo.com
I think you were pretty clear on what you want. And red does tend to wash out quickly on some people. I think you should find you another hairdresser. You should not have paid for the first time you got it done since it wasn't done right.
well make sure you're above a certain price threshold- I've learned that a haircut less than $30 will look like squirrels nibbled your hair. paying less than $100 for color and highlights with a cut isn't a good deal. the more you pay the better the service you're getting and products they're using on you. now red color is VERY hard to keep, it's the quickest fading color. so you have to get a good $$ shampoo like pureology to keep the color. and only buy it at a salon, if you buy salon brands at a drugstore, they're counterfeit.

When should I go to the hairdressers this year or next year?
if your hair is big and frizzy then you should keep the crown and make it paris hilton's shape and then it will look like your face is that shape too.

then you just need to straighten it with chemicals . it won't be quite as good as getting it permed, but it will still work. then they should style the outer hair into the hairstyle that you want. it's called an angled bob. you should show the hairdressers the picture as well though just in case they don't know what an angled bob is. they probably will though but just in case...so anyway, get your hair done this year and then ask your mum if she was being serious or not about the eyebrows. that might help :-)

i went to the hairdressers to go a dirty blonde colour from a brown colour, had full head of highlights and looked like i have ginger bits with a darker colour around it. i went back and had another full head of highlights done for free. and when i came home had bleached blonde hair which still had a gingery tint to it and hated it, had to dye it back brown as i am pale and looked like a ghost. what can i do with the hairdressers, can i ask for a refund, i spent 70 pounds to inevitably go back to colour i was? thanksUnhappy with the result from the hairdressers, what can i do?
NO. I think you are stuck with it for awhile. Sorry. And out your cash!Unhappy with the result from the hairdressers, what can i do?
they should have stuck with you and fixed their mistake. I doubt theyll give you a refund, but they should have coreccted the problem with the first complaint, free of charge, instead of messing ti up further. I think the best thing would be suck it up and find another salon, this one obviously doesnt know how to do colors. sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear.
go back and tell them your are still not saisfied and you would like a refund
You should have said something before you left. You're out of luck now. Next time bring a photo of what you want so there is no question.
you could try but basically they tried to fix it for free and didn't succeed and as a result changed it back, who dyed it back brown?them or you,if it was you then you don't have a leg to strand on but if it was them then you could try......

Where is the best hairdresser for asian hair in San Francisco?

I would start with a reputable chain salon, if you don't have anyone in the area to give you a recommendation. I would start in the local Mall Department Store. I would also ask other asians for their recommendations. Women are normally very happy to hear a compliment and I tell you where she gets her hair done.

When is it time to change hairdressers?

I ADORE my hairdresser, she does a lovely job. I have been aq customer for a while. However the last two times I have had appts she has doubled up her bookings and done several colors at once. Last time I actually got a little snippy because she had me sitting in a chair waiting for my cut and blow out for 56 minutes while she did 2 other cuts. Now she is never available. I work full time and the only times she can squeeze me in is on wednesdays at 2pm..which is almost always impossible, especially given her latest habit of doubling up, Im there for hours for my usualy cut and color.

In any case, I love her work, and she is a great gal, but she just does not have time for me as a client. How rude would it be for me to ask the salon owner to put me in with someone else? Especially because now I NEED a cut and color, and my usual stylist cant get me in for 3 weeks! When is it time to change hairdressers?
Explain your problem to your hairdresser, if she doesn't have a solution then change your hairdresser. When is it time to change hairdressers?
Switch now! That is rude of her to do. And to answer your main question, When is it time to change hairdressers? -When they mess up your hair....but in this case made you wait...hint hint!

Good luck! When she is waiting for you to come back, and you come through the door and she is standing there, you can say, ';i'm not here for you.'; That will make her mad, which will pay back for making you wait.
It wouldn't be rude at all. Especially since your hairstylist is overbooking herself, and can only ';squeeze'; you in, which in some cases, can easily end in Disaster. You don't always have to go the same hairstylist, and if she asks, Just tell her the reason why you decided to go to someone else.
    The time is now.

You should switch now. There are many hair dressers out there who will learn your style and do your hair the way you like it, it wont be too long before you find an even better one that suits you better.

If you are really attached to the current one, perhaps tell her all of your issues, see if she changes and trys to keep you as a valued customer, otherwise, move on!
It's not rude at all. Just say you're very happy with her hairdressing skills ( it seems everybody is which is why she is so busy ) but time wise the situation just isn't working for you any more. You could mention it to the hairdresser as well as the salon owner.
Do you have confidence in any of the other hairdressers? If so, then go for it.

But I also suggest that you talk to your hairdresser. She may not realize or understand that her actions may cost her clients. It could be a new salon policy to double book her.
Since you are a long time client, it would seem like she would be more accommodating. Because my time is precious too, I would find someone else. If you there's another stylist in the salon, and you like his/her work, go to that person.
I don't think it would be rude. You may want to explain your time dilemma, and definitely make sure the other stylists in the same salon don't follow the same practices, or worse!
    Change hairdresser
thats rude cut your hair yourself! d it all yourself diy is in
Honestly you should try finding someone else, but someone that's new and a good hairdresser. Them being new doesn't give them a whole lot of customers so you'll be able to get in very easily and something that will fit your schedule. It seems like your original hairdresser is getting a little to populated. If you don't want to switch hairdressers, or if you can't find anyone else you could always book your appointments way ahead of time. And if she tries to cut someone else's hair while you are there just tell her how it is.. you could be nice and just say you have somewhere to be and that you've had your appointment scheduled for a very long time. Hope my opinion helps you out a lot! Good luck with your hairdresser :)

That they're surprised you go to school..?

    I don't know..

You seem like the type of person who analyzes every little thing.

it probably wasn't anything that should bother you , probably just some old lady inside jokes
It means she thinks your school is a dump.
they were being silly- don't overanalyze it
Yes im sure they thought that!

What have I got to ask for, to get a really vibrant hair do ????Hair - two tone - why won't hairdressers do it properly?
right, i had exactly what u want, very blonde hair on top and a nice dark plum red underneath.

blonde bit - if they gave you high lights and you want more of a blonde effect, ask em to do weaved high lights but lots of them.

bleached can be applied to the scalp but onli when using a low level of peroxide (20% / 6 vol) and it shud onli be used on hair tht is naturally quite light - dark blonde or mousy coloured and should onli be applied by a hairdresser.

another option is to have 1/2 head tint done using a high lift tint.

red bit - red is one them colours, looks great, but fades like a b*tch and also the problem with red is, if you decide you wanna get all your hair blonde, the hairs gotta b coloured corrected - the red hair will be bleached and ash toner added several times.

you can help prevent colour from fading by using a colour protect shampoo... TIGI dumb blonde shampoo/conditioner, TIGI fashionista shampoo/conditioner, TIGI honey and oatmeal shampoo/conditioner

or paul mitchell shampoo 1, paul mitchell colour protect shampoo, paul mitchell instant moisture daily shampoo

avoid using shampoos like pantene or head and shoulders. pantene uses waxes/plastic to make hair appear shiny, but ova time this makes hair appear greasy, dull and lifeless and can cause product build up and head and shoulders will just strip the colour.

email if u got ne q's - devilrachel4eva@yahoo.comHair - two tone - why won't hairdressers do it properly?
I think you were pretty clear on what you want. And red does tend to wash out quickly on some people. I think you should find you another hairdresser. You should not have paid for the first time you got it done since it wasn't done right.
If you asked for black and they didn't give it to you they need to do it again for free, they messed up, maybe you should go to a different salon.
well make sure you're above a certain price threshold- I've learned that a haircut less than $30 will look like squirrels nibbled your hair. paying less than $100 for color and highlights with a cut isn't a good deal. the more you pay the better the service you're getting and products they're using on you. now red color is VERY hard to keep, it's the quickest fading color. so you have to get a good $$ shampoo like pureology to keep the color. and only buy it at a salon, if you buy salon brands at a drugstore, they're counterfeit.
I suggest if your looking for something really nice, then its worth spending good money on it. search the internet for top-notch hairdressers
find a picture of something that you want it like and next time you go take it and explain to them its like that how you want it!

Just don't be mean, you don't want to go home and find out a chunk of your hair was cut off. ;D
Tell them exactly what you want! Mine is rather like that, but a dark chocolate on the bottom, and streaked blonde on top.
the thing wit the blonde is that if its bleach then it cant go straight on the scalp as it will burn it so thats y the highlites are there when u next go into the salon then say to them that you want the whole top blonde and ask them not to weave the sections and they should then do it all as for the black ask for the colour chart and then say to them this is the colour i want ok i realli want this one if they still dont do it rite then they are just ignorant and u should find another salon lol it may just be that they dont understand wat u want done hope this helps xx

Any hairdressers HELP with colour prob?

i'm a hairdresser (for 5 and a half years) who's just gone mobile. i'd prefer not to do colours really cause hair up's and cuts and blow drys are my skilled area really, but i don't think i'll ever be a strong colourist! anyways, i have a client tomorrow who is having full head woven highlights, she has dark roots, about a shade 4 or 5 i'd say, the ends are pre-coloured (not by me) and are a straw blonde sort of colour, her roots are like an inch and a half to 2 inches long and she wants full head woven with some darker shades going through (mid browns) and a few blondes all over too.

I use Affinage infiniti hair colours, and have a 8.32 that i was going to use (which is light sandy beige blonde) what peroxide should i use, i was going to use 20vol but i don't know whether to trust my own judgement? any help pleaasssee? i'd love to own my own shop really one day and just employ a colour technician!! lolAny hairdressers HELP with colour prob?
Trust your own judgement. 20 vol. will be O.K.Any hairdressers HELP with colour prob?
GOOD LUCK....try to talk her out of it or youl be reponsible for making her hair look even more like straw!!!!!!!
Your not going to use bleach for your hilites? Your going to use a high lift color? I've never had good luck w/ high lift colors especially if you don't have a dryer to put her under. I would use a semi perm. color (I use Redken Shades or Matrix) and I would use a level 7 for the low lite and very very thin because if she is that BLONDE then if you had too much dark in there she will not like it. I would use bleach w/ 20 volume and watch it because you don't know if she lifts quick or not. You can tone it if its gets to light but w/ 20 volume on that level of hair you should be okay if you watch it. If you have a dryer and you use the high lift color it usually calls for 20 minutes under the dryer and then 20 minutes sitting w/ no heat %26amp; usually it calls for 40 volume w/ a hilift blonde color. That's why have a better color result and it's not as damaging using bleach because you only have to use 20 volume rather then 40. ALways remember their natural level and what level your trying to get to. If someone was a level 7 and higher this highlift blonde might be better but her natural level is pretty dark to try and use a highlift color. Gooooood Luck and show confidence girl you know that...fake it till you make it...and if you know you can't make then don't do it!!!!

Can I go back to the hairdressers? as on closer inspection the colour is ginger on the roots!?
ya. i would try and haggle with them because you were not satisfied by your cut, they could most likely give you a lower price.
Go back and talk to them. it depends what kind of a salon it is. Some would just say sorry and re-do it for you and others would make you pay. you'll have to ask them.
of course you can go back if you're not happy

Unhappy with the result from the hairdressers, what can i do?

i went to the hairdressers to go a dirty blonde colour from a brown colour, had full head of highlights and looked like i have ginger bits with a darker colour around it. i went back and had another full head of highlights done for free. and when i came home had bleached blonde hair which still had a gingery tint to it and hated it, had to dye it back brown as i am pale and looked like a ghost. what can i do with the hairdressers, can i ask for a refund, i spent 70 pounds to inevitably go back to colour i was? thanksUnhappy with the result from the hairdressers, what can i do?
Next time bring a photo of what you want so there is no question.
you could try but basically they tried to fix it for free and didn't succeed and as a result changed it back, who dyed it back brown?them or you,if it was you then you don't have a leg to strand on but if it was them then you could try......

please dont just tell me that she has stylists or tell me to go to the hairdresser coz i want to do it myselfSELENA GOMEZ HAIR!! hair stylist and hairdressers plz?
first put a light weight gel in your hair and put it thought your whole head then part your hair on the side pull it all down in a low pony tail on the other side from the part then tease the crap out of it (take a paddle brush and push up on it till it is all big and teased out) then loosely twist it up into a bun very loose and pick at it till you like it. then spray the crap out of it with hair spraySELENA GOMEZ HAIR!! hair stylist and hairdressers plz?
    ok.....

Why not go to the hair dresser just print a pic of Selena Gomez and she or he can easily make it look just like Selena's. Dont try doing it yourself cuz u will just screw up and be sorry its worth going to the hair dresser. Trust me.

    good luck.....
